Casa de Pilatos
This palace is considered the most beautiful palace
in Andalusia.
Its mudejar style structure and decoration, gothic style
elements and Italian marble show the diferent tastes
in architecture of the first ten years of the 16th century.
Don Pedro Enríquez started building the palace
at the end of the 15th century.
The residence was later extended and became the prototype
of the Andalusian palace with its unique combination
of Medieval and Renaissance artistic influences. There
is an interesting collection of statues and marble works
which decorate the gardens. The Palace belongs to the
Duke of Medinaceli today.
